Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at e-trailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster diode wiring kit on a 2016 GMC Terrain. Now this is gonna be available in a few different configurations based on what needs you may have. So if you don't have an umbilical to attach from your six-pole to your seven, you can get it with three different styles. There's a straight cable, a hybrid cable, or a coiled cable. So depending on what your application may be, you can pick that up with it. And it's also gonna include that six-pole. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing Roadmaster's Diode Wiring for Towed Vehicle Kit on a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle that are gonna be required on your Silverado to get it down the road. And the first one is gonna be your base plate that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a mounting point not only for some of your other components, but your tow bar. And your tow bar is the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now, going along with that, we have our safety chains, and these are going to make sure in case of a less than likely but potential of a disconnect, these are gonna keep everything still attached. more

Adding diode wiring to your vehicle is gonna allow you to get the functions from your motor home to the taillights on your towed vehicle. There's a couple of different ways that you can go about this. Diode wiring is my favorite way to do it, but you can get magnetic lights, which are the lights that you'll see on the back of people's cars. Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Smart Diodes on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Adding diode wiring to a flat towed vehicle is slowly becoming kind of a requirement. A lot of times you see flat towed vehicles with the magnetic lights and you have to drape those wires up. Well, nowadays you can tie into the factory taillights and that way when you plug into your 6-pole to the seventh via the umbilical you're gonna get all the same light sequences from the RV. So as you brake, use your turn signals, use your running lights, it's all gonna transmit to the back of your vehicle letting people know what you're indicating to do. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Diode Wiring for Towed Vehicles on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now there's five main components required when flat towing a vehicle and starting on the vehicle side, it's gonna be your base plate. And base plate is going to attach to the structural frame or at least bumper supports of a vehicle, creating a solid mounting point. It's also gonna create other mounting points for your other components, including your tow bar. So your tow bar's gonna attach to the arms and that's gonna be the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, we also have our safety chains and that's going to make sure in case of a disconnect, we still have the cables attached to the vehicle. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for towed vehicles on a 2020 Chevrolet Spark. Now your diode wiring is simply going to run from a 6-pole in the front of the vehicle back to the taillights where we tie into the factory wiring. And what that means is we can simply just plug in our umbilical and it's gonna receive those light sequences from the RV. So if you plan on flat towing your vehicle more than a few times a year, this is a nice easy way to do it. And also having a 6-pole up front means that you can tie in other accessories like a charge line with a 12 volt power supply. So it does have some benefits. more

Review of Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring - Bypasses Vehicle Wiring - BX88272- Video
Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Blue Ox 13 inch long ATM Mini-Fuse ByPass Switch for tow vehicles. Now, some automobiles can only be towed if you get under the hood and pull the fuse, and if you don't remove the fuse before towing, there's a good chance that your car's battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination. So you can use this fuse-disconnect system here to prep your vehicle to be towed. This part here will bypass your towed car's fuse, so that you can tow your vehicle without draining its battery. This provides a nice, simple alternative to removing the mini-fuse every time you tow, and it'll also store your fuse right in here, so that you don't lose it. more

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit for towed vehicles. Now, this universal wiring kit is going to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your towed vehicle's lighting system, and this is designed for vehicles where traditional wiring diodes will not work, and it will prevent electrical feedback and the damage it can cause to your towed cars electrical components. And I'm just gonna put a photo on your screen there, just kinda give you an idea of how you can mount these LED strips, and this is going to be a very easy installation. And so, I wanna demonstrate the functions that these lights can perform for you. As you can see, I already have this plugged into my 12 volt power supply, and right now, you're seeing the taillights on and you see just how right they are even with my studio lights on. But I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights off, and again, you can see the brightness, and I'm gonna zoom out there, and again, these are gonna be very visible, especially at night. more

Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System Installation - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tow Ready diode wiring for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now your base plate is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing your vehicle, and the base plate creates a structural support that mounts to the frame of the vehicle allowing you to hook up to your towbar. Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2018 Ford Edge- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Hopkins plug-in diode wiring on a 2018 Ford Edge. Normally, when it comes to diode wiring, you are having to cut into the wires of the brake lights and tie in those diodes using spade connectors, and Hopkins kind of made this easy for us because it's simply plug-in. So it's kind of like hooking up trailer wiring, it just snaps into factory-like connections, you run your wiring up to the front and you can tie that in using either the included four-pole that's attached or we used a six-pole on ours. And diode wiring is gonna send the light signal from the RV through the umbilical to the taillights on the vehicle and that way, you can get your turn signals, your brake lights, as well as your running lights. And that's just gonna keep you safe and legal while flat towing your vehicle. more

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit Installation - 2019 Ford Flex- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster diode wiring on a 2019 Ford Flex. Now there's five main components required for flat towing a vehicle, and the first one's gonna be on the vehicle side and that's gonna be your base plate. And that's gonna create a solid attachment point to the frame of the vehicle that allows you to hook up to your tow bar. And the tow bar is gonna be the connection between the base plate on the towed vehicle and the hitch on the RV. You also have your safety cables. So just in case of an accidental disconnect you still have an attachment point from your base plate to the hitch on the RV. more

It's going to provide your taillights as well as brake lights as you can see in this video demonstration here. So there are brake lights, and then it can also show your left turn signal and your right turn signal. So this is going to mount in your rear window and it'll allow other drivers coming up from behind to better see your signal so they can know if you're turning or changing lanes and that sort of thing. more

Roadmaster Smart Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster diode wiring kit on a 2022 Chevy Spark. Now I have the hazards on my RV, and you can see it's mimicking on the tail lights of our vehicle. And if you've ever seen a flat towed vehicle before, sometimes you may notice they have those magnetic lights that are on here, and that means you're draping a wire all the way up to the front. Now they have wireless options as well, but that's one more component that you have to tag along with all of the rest of your equipment, where diode wiring really makes it easy to just plug into the front, you're also gonna get some 12 volt power supply generally from a 6-pole, so it's really nice to be able to just plug in and have these ready to go. And what it's gonna do is just run from the 7-pole on your RV, through the 6-pole, and you're gonna have wire running back to your tail lights where you tie into diodes, and that way you can mimic your running lights, your brake lights, as well as your turn signals, and that's gonna keep you safe and legal and let the people behind you know what you're indicating to do. Now it's pretty easy, you are gonna be pulling your tail light out and then tying in to that factory wiring, and it's just a couple spade connectors that you'll be attaching, and really the hardest part is running your wire all the way up to the front of the vehicle. more
